Tibetan prayer flags with ancient prayers written in Sanskrit have been used in Buddhism for hundreds of years. Tibetans believe the prayers and mantras will be blown by the wind to spread the good will and compassion into all pervading space. Therefore, prayer flags are thought to bring benefit to all.

The symbols and mantras on prayer flags are sacred, they should be treated with respect. The five colours represent the elements and the Five Pure Lights
